Types of Network :
1. Local Area Network (LAN)
A Local Area Network connects computers and equipment within premises or buildings. It enables local users to share information through file servers, print documents thru centralized printers, do transactions through central servers and connect to outside networks in a secured manner through a firewall router.
2. Wide Area Network (WAN)
A Wide Area Network (WAN) is a telecommunications network that covers a relatively large geographical area. It provides connectivity between multiple sites, each with its own local area network (LAN). The term WAN is also used to refer to the structure of an enterprise, which may span several countries or continents.
